I’m a Spanish lawyer (Abogada) assisting international clients from Málaga, Madrid and León with the Spanish side of inheritance procedures, Spanish Wills under EU Regulation 650/2012, capacity and support measures under Spanish law, and conveyancing for non residents. I work with families in the UK, Ireland, Europe and beyond, and most procedures can be managed remotely through Power of Attorney.

Before returning to Spain, I lived and worked in the United Kingdom for more than twenty years. I began my career as a Political Assistant in Westminster, supporting parliamentary and constituency communications, and later as the Political Assistant to a council group in a large county council near London. I also managed a committee at Kingston University before co founding a communications company. During the first lockdown, I worked on the NHS COVID 19 contact line, assisting patients in a time of exceptional public need. I also hold a CertHE in Creative Writing from Oxford University, which strengthened my ability to explain complex matters with clarity and sensitivity.

When I returned to Spain, I was already a qualified lawyer, having previously been a member of the bar. Even so, I chose to spend a year updating my practical experience before taking sole responsibility for clients’ interests. I worked as a court interpreter, regaining procedural fluency, and at the Servicio de Orientación Jurídica (SOJ) — the Legal Aid Helpdesk — assisting the public with legal aid applications. During that period, I collaborated with colleagues while rebuilding my practice experience. Over time, I discovered that guiding families through Spanish inheritance procedures was where I could offer the most meaningful support.

Today I assist British and Irish clients with:

• The Spanish inheritance procedure up to the acceptance deed,
• Registration of inherited property,
• Spanish Wills for expats (EU 650/2012),
• Capacity and support measures under Spanish law,
• Conveyancing for non residents, and
• Post inheritance property steps such as property sales, rental contracts, and tourism rental assessments.

Although I do not provide ongoing property or financial management, I collaborate with trusted professionals who can assist with those matters when needed.

I continue developing professionally in digital transformation in legal practice with ongoing training on the use of digital services for the legal profession and I am completing my qualification as a contadora partidora de herencias, enabling me to assist with judicial and extrajudicial estate division in Spain.

Wherever my clients are based, my aim is to make the Spanish legal system clear, structured and approachable — providing calm, organised guidance during moments that are often emotionally complex.
